God's Kids

God's Kids meet Tuesday nights throughout the school year and provides   programming for Chapin youth and others in neighboring communities. God's Kids is not just an extension of our Sunday School but is more  of a community program featuring many different types of activities, bible study, music and fellowship.

Community Breakfast

The second Saturday of every month Chapin Christian Church hosts a community breakfast.  Everyone is welcome. A free will offering is taken.  It has really gotten to be a wonderful community gathering.

5th Annual 5K Run Walk

Chapin Christian Church will host the 5th annual 5K run/walk on Saturday,  August 11th at 8 am.  Registration is $20 in advance and $25 on race day.  Registration begins at 7:15 am on race day. For more information call 217-472-7501

Our worship service is mostly traditional with an occasional contemporary song.  The service is Bible based and The Lord's Supper is served each Sunday.

About Chapin Christian Church 1876-2018

Chapin Christian Church organized on the first day of May, 1876. The First sermon was preached on January 1st, 1877 and in the same year 24 people of the Jordan and Bethel groups enrolled into the membership of Chapin Christian Church. The Congregational   Church property was purchased in 1876 and stood on the same location as our present church. By January 1st, 1880 there were 93  members. Chapin Christian Church has had over 40 Pastors and 2   Timothy's. Chapin Christian Church is a member of the Disciples

of Christ. The denomination was born in the 1800s, and continues to be influenced by its founding ideals of our unity in Christ with openness and diversity in practice and   beliefs
